Ausvat is an Australian owned company based in Willunga, part of the famous McLaren Vale wine region; South Australia.
In time for Vintage 2007, Ausvat will commence production of its
patented oak barrel reclaim system in
Nannup
Western Australia’s
South East region towards the end of 2006.
At Ausvat we are dedicated to providing a fast and high quality service to our customers all around Australia and New Zealand. The products we supply are backed by years of experience through research and development.
Using developed oak technologies, Ausvat provides customers and clients the opportunity to give decommissioned oak barrels a second life. Ausvat converts near worthless oak into usable oak planks and battens suitable for oaking wine in tanks, vats and reoaking in barrels.
Stakvat® is an invention of Ausvat which save vast amounts of time and money by its unique storage ability. Within a Stakvat® you can contain twice the wine volume of a barrel as well as fermenting and maturing all in the one unit.
Further to this we will be offering a newly patented Frost Protection System also known as SISTM for Selected Inverted Sink TM. We will assemble and have technical support available for the frost units – providing frost solutions for cold, frosty pockets.
Ausvat's research and development utilises, acknowledges and supports the Australian Wine Industry’s research facilities such as the Universities and commercial services provided by the various laboratories in the ongoing oak research programmes.
Being locally situated allows Ausvat to work with the students in the High Schools and Universities where there are winemaking courses enabling assistance with some of the practical tools.
